Abstracts guidelines 2018
start abstract submission: 20th December 2017
closing abstract submission: 20th February 2018
Preparing your abstract for submission
Abstract submission is structured with the following body parts: Purpose - Methods - Results - Conclusion.
Abstracts are limited to 250 words for title, abstract body and image caption(s). Therefore, it is important to plan, review and edit your abstract submission for clarity and concision.
Author forenames/surnames should be explicit: to minimise ambiguity it is recommended that first initials and last (family) name are used. There is a need to be consistent as to whether it is last names first throughout, or initials first throughout.
You can upload your abstract during your regisration or you may send your abstract after registration to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The abstract deadline is Tuesday 20th of February 2018. We will select abstracts for oral or poster presentations.
Preparing your oral presentation
A presentation will take 6-7 minuten plus 3 minuten of discussion. This means the speaker has 10 minutes for preparation on stage, presentation and discussion. Van sprekers wordt verwacht dat zij hun voordracht goed geoefend en getimed hebben. We expect the speaker not to exceed this 10 minutes of presentation time.
Preparing your poster presentation
We epxect the speaker to prepare a ‘rapid fire’ presentation of 1,5 minutes and 1,5 minutes of discussion, maximal 3 minutes. Case reports will always be scheduled as poster, unless it is presented as a ‘mystery case’.
